Andrew the cockriel came to Hillfields Animal Sanctuary from someone who had raised him from a chick, but then couldn't cope with a fully grown cockriel.
Unfortunately it is all too common for animals to become unwanted once they have become fully grown and, as Andrew's case shows, this doesn't just apply to the larger animals.
