Megan was rescued from a farmer's field. Each of the ewes had give birth to four lambs and the runt (Megan) had been cast aside.
This practice is all too common and around lambing time we often hear cases of weaker lambs being left in the fields to die. The cost of raising them is seen as too high by farmers who are able to blame their loss on foxes.
