Smokey the Pony

Spotted at a horse sale on his last legs, this suffering sickly foal was brought to us to help save him. Against all the odds he survived. much to the vet's surprise as he had no red blood cells at all. It was a long process and he needed an enormous amount of care. We had to make pony-sized hats and leggings to keep him warm while he fought for life.

Thankfully he made it and now enjoys a carefree life, he's never been broken or ridden. He just grazes and frolics with his pals. He seems to be very accident prone and has had a few scrapes so needs a careful eye, but is clearly a survivor for which we're very thankful.
