Harold the Turkey

Harold was saved from his fate as someone's Christmas dinner by a couple who bought him from the turkey sale at Henley market when they subsequently spilt up, Harold again faced slaughter, as it's no easy task rehoming a large gobbling bird! So he came to join us and while very shy at first, is now as bold as brass and struts his stuff around the sanctuary grounds.

Unusually, Harold has rejected the chance of female turkey companionship and has paired up with another male and they do their rounds together! His favourite trick is to jump inside his own feeding bucket, no mean feat for such a large bird!
