The hall soon warmed up & was full of the aroma of delicious hot food & buzz of animated conversation as people caught up with old friends & chatted to new ones.
The main courses were a spicy chick pea dish & chilli accompanied by baked potatoes, followed by a choice of 3 vegan dessert cakes, cream & custard. Needless to say most people wanted to try a portion of all 3 cakes, so not a crumb was left by the end!
More money was raised by the raffle, we had some great prizes donated, like 2 tickets for Birmingham Rep & �30 voucher from Ethical Wares footwear company. Interestingly though, the most coveted prize seemed to be a platter of home made chocolate Tiffin, which disappeared within minutes at the winners table!
Overall, a very pleasing total of �514 was raised that evening , everyone had a nice relaxed & sociable time, & the animals benefited from some more funds to help them through the winter. Thanks to everyone who came with such good spirit & generous hearts.
